It's just the flu. It's no big deal. Why are you so concerned?

I know Covid is not long lasting for most people. Some get what might be a cold or light flu. Sadly millions got way more than that and millions more are dealing with the fallout of what isn't just a cold or flu. They are dealing with what is called long Covid. Things like affected brain function, new and life altering breathing issues, not to mention the fatigue that doesn't stop.

Was there any day that you wanted to go from a fully fit functioning person - your brain bright and alive - energy to power through your day and life only to have it ripped away from you? I didn't think so.

Having had asthma all my life I'm very aware the cost of reduced lung function on a life. After emergency surgery I'm also aware of brain fog and what that is like to deal with and the impact it has had on my life and career. I know many people and there isn't one of them I would wish this on. That is why when I see Covid being taken so lightly it scares the fuck out of me. You don't know the cost of your life to gamble and potentially loose a bet with a virus that doesn't care if you are sick and tired of masks. Just as people were tired of the Spanish flu we are repeating history all over again.

It may not kill you but your life may never be the same again. Is it worth it?
