"My must haves without A/C was having the air cycle game figured out and great fans. I had several window fans with two fans in the space and the option to pull air in or push out. That and the air cycle plan. Know your heat game."
So that was the reply to a meme about staying cool without A/C. I also read the comment a few times while my head battled about "that info is incomplete" vs "over share/think much". So ya it's kinda busy in my lid ATM but feeling rested enough to think I should write this down just for reflection.
A few hours ago I replied to Val's post on Mastodon about seeing the clues of burnout approaching and intervening. I had replied with;
Recently (couple months) I've been taking more time in the morning (vs rushing to my computer/work). I've been making sure most days I have time to go stretch out and meditate and nap should I need it. The voices of the "shouldhaves" echo in my head about how lazy it seems but what I have noticed was more focus and creativity when working.
The last 6 weeks or so I've been immersed in the website and social media mangement for Classics Against Cancer Father's Day car show. I've taken care of the website for quite a long time now but this year was the 35th Aniversary show. It was a passion project for sure and lots of creativity was required. While I was at my desk fewer hours I had away time to think through how best I could share certain news, graphics, ads if needed.
It's fact that neurodiverse brains have sleep challenges as the sercatian rhythm is off. So not being ready to sleep until maybe midnight or later then getting up for regular hours - maybe I hadn't been getting enough rest to recover from burnout.
Anyhow more to ponder as I travel this path.
Bright Solstice Blessings!
