Who'd have thought when the RWNJ's decided to go more nuts it would be The Satanic Temple taking these governments to court for our basic freedoms.
Let me back up just a little here. So I was raised in a Christian household much like many of us here in Canada/USA. That entailed church on Sunday as well as Sunday School and probably at least one if not more church things through the week. At one point even did the BAC route. And still, with all that, I bolted from religion as soon as I was able (18 at home). Even back then in the late 70's I could see the bullshit of "do as I say not as I do".
I've met some folks over the years who "Walked the Talk" as it were. Funny enough even they are leaving the church lately over their hateful rhetoric.
Right then, back to my point about The Satanic Temple. They are the ones going to court to make the point that in schools and government the church has no business injecting themselves. They are the ones standing up for women's rights to reproductive freedom and for our trans and LGBTQIA2+ friends.

Of course all the church time there was loads of Satanists are evil etc etc. Then someone I knew from FB posted the 7 Tenets and I'm like, Wow this isn't even close to what I thought it was. Also, they make so much sense. Anyhow, here they are for your consideration.
THERE ARE SEVEN FUNDAMENTAL TENETS
I
One should strive to act with compassion and empathy toward all creatures in accordance with reason.
II
The struggle for justice is an ongoing and necessary pursuit that should prevail over laws and institutions.
III
One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone.
IV
The freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend. To willfully and unjustly encroach upon the freedoms of another is to forgo one's own.
V
Beliefs should conform to one's best scientific understanding of the world. One should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit one's beliefs.
VI
People are fallible. If one makes a mistake, one should do one's best to rectify it and resolve any harm that might have been caused.
VII
Every tenet is a guiding principle designed to inspire nobility in action and thought. The spirit of compassion, wisdom, and justice should always prevail over the written or spoken word.
